Egyptian Competitiveness Report
The Egyptian Competitiveness Report (ECR) is the ENCC’s annual flagship publication. The report provides a critical analysis of Egypt’s competitiveness based mainly on the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Report as well as findings from the World Bank’s Doing Business report and the Business Barometer published by the Egyptian Center for Economic Studies. Authored by prominent scholars, the ECR is a key source of data and information for policymakers, researchers and civil society organizations. The ENCC began publishing the ECR in 2004. The last report, "Towards a Competitive Egypt: Where Everybody Wins," was launched in May, 2008.
The ENCC launched the sixth 2009 ECR on June 30th, 2009. The report is titled "Beyond the Financial Crisis: Competitiveness and Sustainable Development". It provides an in-depth look at national strengths and weaknesses amidst changing global political and economic landscapes.
